What Do You Bring to the Table? Series is an extension of the Rebound Relationship Research under the “Rebounding” tab and the video lessons housed under the “Toxic Encounters Books” tab.
Rebound Relationship Research presents an understanding of the table, which explores toxic romantic relationships characterized under the category of rebounding and rebound relationships. It explores the scholarship of rebounding and rebound relationships.
The Toxic Encounters Books house the three main titles, which further houses additional scholarship on rebounding and rebound relationships. The titles create the Overcoming Rebound Relationships Curriculum. The curriculum focuses on when you need to leave the table.
What Do You Bring to the Table? Series extends the discussion to consider social media views of how individuals perceive “your contribution” to a romantic relationship. This has been a popular question across social media platforms targeted at independent, educated, and working women from self-described alpha men who do not value such qualities. The online discussion vacillates between the men who want a traditional, submissive partner and the women who believe that if they are the breadwinners, i.e., higher financial contribution, then they should be considered the head of house.
Although neither party truly understands the dynamics of relationship building, the series hints at the need for respective individuals to prepare for entry into romantic relationships. Many traditional issues can be resolved through a conversation at the table. In other words, the more we can talk before engaging in other aspects of the romantic relationship, the more revelation we are to discover about ourselves, connections, compatibility, and potential contributions.
What Do You Bring to the Table? Series focuses on what you bring to the table by gauging your understanding and capacity for funding a romantic relationship emotionally, psychologically, spiritually, and financially. A companion blog article titled “Can You Fund the Relationship?” on this site explores these ideas. Likewise, the blog article is housed within a larger work, which is available on Amazon, titled “Life Recovery after Romantic Hastiness: Online Topics and Planning Workbook.”
