Overcoming Hate Setback

Welcome!

Welcome to Overcoming Hate Setback Series!

Overcoming Hate Setback Series focuses on examining “hate” from the context of jealousy and how it affects personal decision-making. This is not solely a discussion about race-based hate even though there is at least one presentation that slightly references it.

Instead, this is a discussion about how to recognize hate early, how to put distance between you and your hater, and how to do what is in God’s best interest for the hater. Listen to the series, beginning with the introduction, and you may find it useful for your own journey.

Impetus

The impetus for the full series derives from one YouTube video I listened to (referenced below) where the YouTuber references a friend who was hated on her job, and he concludes the following: “A hater don’t want your help” (Big Ward the Genius).

It is from that one statement I decided to create this series. It is a statement that I believe helped to remove the burden I’ve been carrying when it comes to dealing with jealousy and overall hate.

Big Ward the Genius

“Dear Black People, Stop Telling Black People About Your Success (You Will Regret It)”: You can find the statement at 4:40 to 5:16, “A hater don’t want your help.” The video is dated December 8, 2023.

Multiple Serials

Overcome Hate Setback Series includes the main series and Shake the Dust Off Your Feet Series that follows. A book is forthcoming (TBD) for Shake the Dust. For now, the current title is the main workbook for the serials.

The Overcoming Hate Setback serials have extended to include an additional topic on overcoming compromise. When Someone Hates You: Overcoming Compromise Setback explores the role of compromise, how we compromise ourselves, and how the relationships, such as friendships, family, and romantic often reveal the perceptions of people who believe we should compromise ourselves.

When Someone Hates You: Overcoming Compromise Setback

Welcome to Overcoming Compromise Setback!

This is a new series that explores the struggles of dealing with compromise on an individual basis and dealing with someone compromising you on a relationship basis.

The relationships we have, whether friendship, family, or romantic, always possess an inherent struggle to pursue and maintain our own life arguments, which are represented as “our way.” However, when we are challenged by external forces, it is often hard to maintain personal standards.

This new series explores the different ways in which we compromise ourselves and the ways in which people expect us to compromise ourselves.

What is Compromise?

The Person Introduces You to Compromise

The Person Compromises You

The Person Makes it Possible for Others to Compromise You

The Person Doesn’t Allow You to Question the Compromise

The Person Adds More Compromises

The Person Creates a System of Compromising

“I Knew I Could Sell You.”

People Who Compromise You Often Do So Because They Know They Can

You Can Say “No.”
