Carolyn’s Daughter: A Novel, Part I

Carolyn’s Daughter: A Novel, Part I, Inspiration Fiction is a narrative that begins with a main character who is an emotional runner. She dips in and out of situations without the forethought of how her contributions might affect her own life, her own narrative.

She is less self-aware and more prone to examine and critique the problems of others. She thrives in chaos, but she is also regretful of using hastiness to solve her problems. She hasn’t learned the art of problem-solving because she struggles to realize that she is her own problem.

In a world of marriage and infidelity, shacking with the hopes of marriage, striving for improvement, and scratching to make a life for herself, the main character has serious decisions to consider if she is going to make any contribution to the world and people surrounding her, despite her many strained relationships.

If she is to recover fully, she will need to discover who she really is and confront that person on the inside and not the ones externally. She will have to learn and address her own narratives.

Esther’s Lot: A Novel

Esther’s Lot: A Novel, Inspiration Fiction is a derivative of the larger inspiration fiction series where the focus is on Esther, who is Kendra’s mother in Carolyn’s Daughter, and who is wife to John Jameson, Jr., Kendra’s father. Esther’s Lot narrative focuses on Esther’s decision to leave her cheating husband, divorcing him, and the consequences that follow and how that decision affects her daughter.

Esther’s Lot: A Novel, Inspiration Fiction provides the background to the larger series where all characters are explored, sometimes briefly, in Carolyn’s Daughter. Esther’s Lot: A Novel suggests that Esther’s newfound freedom from the trappings of and duty to marriage is not the only thing she will have to deal with; instead, she will have to deal with the fallout of her daughter’s hasty decision-making and how she might have contributed to her emotional self-destruction.

Kendra is Esther’s lot in life. Kendra’s self-destruction is explored in this novel, not Esther’s resolution to her daughter’s chaos.

Ms. Molly Sutton, A Novel

The novel is about a newly married Black female protagonist who struggles to reconcile her desire for writing with career and family demands, while also addressing life’s little setbacks. The narrative utilizes the abused dog as a metaphor for marriage.

Samantha’s Confessions: A Novella

Samantha’s Confessions: A Novella, Inspiration Fiction is about the character of Samantha and her struggles with the discovery of being a rebound in her romantic relationship with Robert. She struggles to exit the relationship because of past trauma and emotional triggers.

She eventually makes the decision to exit but not before tolerating another round of trauma with Robert, his ex-partner Veronica, and past relationships that have plagued her over the years. She realizes that until she lets Robert go, she cannot move forward.

Sandra Livingston: A Novella

Sandra Livingston: A Novella, Inspiration Fiction is a fictional memoir about a Black woman protagonist and narrator who has never been sexually satisfied in any of her relationships, including never being able to climax.

She has decided to stop pursuing sex while dating until she marries. Sandra Livingston, narrated in first-person, briefly explores the question Will she ever climax?

The third-person limited narrator offers a possible answer. Sandra Livingston is a character who is connected to Molly Sutton and Shelby Sutton in Ms. Molly Sutton.

They are all sisters who share the same mother, Bernadette Sutton, and the same toxic relationship with their mother, good and/or bad.
