What is the Table?

Overview

Determining the table for you is predicated on where you are in your life.

If you are just getting out of a relationship, then your table may be the reflection process. It is not time to enter another relationship until you heal from the previous one.

If you are graduating from college, then your table could be to prepare to enter your career field. You need time to establish yourself before entertaining a new relationship.

If you are financially behind or currently financially unstable, then your table could be to become financially stable before you make any other life-changing decision.

How you perceive your table matters. How you design any solutions that are on the table further matters. Consider the following exercises to guide you in discovering, addressing, and resolving your table.

What Do You Bring to the Table? Series: A Workbook Companion is an extension of the Rebound Relationship Research under the “Rebounding” tab and the video lessons housed under the “Toxic Encounters Books” tab.

The Toxic Encounters Books house the three base titles, which further houses additional scholarship on rebounding and rebound relationships. The titles create the Overcoming Rebound Relationships Curriculum. The curriculum focuses on when you need to leave the table. What Do You Bring to the Table? Series extends the discussion to consider social media views of how individuals perceive “your contribution” to a romantic relationship.
